A Little About Me – Aloha!
Over 10 years ago, I met my husband. In many conversations we had I would always bring up my dream vacation would be Hawaii. A little over 5 years ago he surprised me and told me we were moving to Hawaii for a three year tour! I was beyond excited and ready to move to paradise! It wasn’t as easy to find a job as I thought it was. So I started a blog which turned into a business, Hawaii Shopaholics. Also, the business I created became a well known brand. We were lucky to receive a second tour in Hawaii which ended in March. My husband was accepted to Naval Post Graduate School in Monterey, California. He has to checkin in April. Therefore, sadly today is our last day in Paradise before we make the long trek to cold, chilly, not so pretty blue beaches Monterey. The great news is that what my husband is going to school for – 90% of the jobs are in Hawaii. What that means is there is a huge possibility in 2 years we will be back to our Aloha life!
If you have been keeping up with my family, many of you may remember my husband returned from a 7 month deployment in February. We packed out of our home on Wednesday and have been living in Waikiki. It is like we have gone full circle. When we first moved to the island, we lived in Waikiki. Here we are again living in the heart of all the resorts. So in a month in half we have had a world wind tour, with Avery loving her Dad, packing, and selling our cars and more!
I have made some of the best Coupon Friends here in Hawaii. I have a daughter who gets to say she was born in paradise. I had the opportunity to write a book and have it published! I have had the pleasure of meeting thousands of people who were interested in learning to coupon through the Hawaii Shopaholics Coupon Classes, Coupon Swaps and all those who attended the Grocery Swaps. Don’t fear, all of the FREE Coupon events will continue. I have some wonderful coupon friends who have volunteered to continue the events. In addition, don’t think I am leaving you stranded. We will be coming back frequently to visit…I mean defrost and see sun!
Also, the website will continue as normal. Majority of the sales ads are available the Friday before they are released. Therefore, the Coupon Match ups and every Shopaholics favorite Coupon Database will be available. I have a friend who lives here on Oahu who will also be helping with the website. If anyone else knows how to blog and wants to help be a team member for Hawaii Shopaholics – email firstname.lastname@example.org
If you are interested in helping to keep the FREE Coupon Events alive and well in Hawaii email email@example.com for more information. We are always looking for more Coupon Instructors, Coupon Swap Host and Grocery Swap Host.
I would love to finish this post by saying Aloha to all my coupon Shopaholic friends. Don’t be shy and reach out to me to just say Hi! I will miss you all dearly and hope to see you all soon! I say Aloha and thank you Shopaholics for all your friendship!
