Background about Ashley:

Ashley started to live a frugal lifestyle when she started working her first full-time job. She noticed the money she was making was all going to bills, miscellaneous stuff and rarely any money was going into savings. She worked hard for the money earned and wanted to find a way to stretch every dollar. As a third generation couponer, she watched her mom cut and use coupons while growing up. Many family friends said ‘I followed in her mom’s frugal footsteps!’ They said her mom had a coupon for everything and is known for getting a bunch of items for free! When she moved out of her parents house and into her first chic apartment, she started a subscription to the weekend paper just for the Sunday coupons, in 2004. In 2008, she stumbled upon printable coupons and the savings really started to add up. By using coupons she was able to start saving money and building that savings account she always dreamt of.

Goal of The Spenderella:

Main goal with this website is to teach people it is possible to save 50% on your shopping needs with online shopping. Plus introduce the readers to new products with unbeatable deals and product reviews.

Formerly Hawaii Shopaholics:

Ashley Dougherty, aka Hawaii’s Coupon Queen, started Hawaii Shopaholics website for Couponers in Hawaii to make aware how to save money in paradise in October 2011! In 2016, Hawaii Shopaholics was rebranded into the Spenderella.
