Bookroo Book Subscription Box Promo Code + Review
Bookroo is a book subscription box where you can select between board books, picture books or chapter books. Right now, you can score an extra 20% off when you subscribe to a 3 month subscription. This is a great way to add books to your home library. Great for virtual students and homeschooling students to supplement their curriculum.
My Product Review:
A delivery from Bookroo is so cute and makes it feel like a present. The books are wrapped individually to feel like presents. Below is a picture of the two chapter books I received in my first package, Hoton Halftpott ($14.95 retail) and The Adventurer’s Guide ($16.99 currently on Barnes & Noble). For the price of spending approximately $19.16 a month and looking up what these hardbooks are selling for currently, I believe it is a great deal.
Plus, I love how easy it is to receive books with Bookroo subscription box. Book shopping literally stresses me out. These chapter books are great books as I try to read at higher level books to my girls to help expand their vocabulary, imagination , etc… In addition, these books can stay in our library longer as eventually the girls will be able to read these chapter books. To me the Bookroo book subscription box is so much easier than having to shop a large book catalog party or book fair.
Last spring, school was a challenge for many of us, and many of us are still facing a lot of uncertainty, anxiety and worry about this school year being any better. We have a simple suggestion to help: Keep Calm & Read On!
Too often we overlook the power of reading as a teaching resource. Reading is one of the best tools we have to keep our kids (and ourselves!) happy and productive this school year.
The American Academy of Pediatricians has said, “reading regularly with young children stimulates optimal patterns of brain development, strengthens parent-child relationships at a critical time in child development, which, in turn, builds language, literacy, and social-emotional skills that last a lifetime.”
Brain development, social-emotional skills, relationship building? Doesn’t that sum up what we hope our kids gain from school? And it’s all possible with an activity so simple and enjoyable.
So this fall, don’t lose hope, give up, or panic and freak out. Instead, in the good moments, and especially the difficult ones, keep calm and reach for a book! If all we manage to do this year is spend a lot of time reading, we’re all going to be okay.
