Extended Stay America Hotel Suite Review
As many know, we are on a cross country road trip Permeant Change of Station (PCS) move from California to Georgia. We have stopped at many places along the way including the Grand Canyon, Albuquerque and more – go HERE to see the update!
In Amarillo, Texas we had the pleasure of staying in an Extended Stay America suite. The suite was comped in exchange for an honest blog post. We stayed in a double bed suite which included a living room with a pull out couch to sleep a total of 6 people in the room comfortably. The room also had a kitchenette with stove top, fridge, sink, microwave, dishes, and silverware to use. Another awesome feature about the suite was the bathtub. A bathtub might seem like such a little thing, but so many hotels do not offer bathtubs anymore. If you are traveling with toddlers a bathtub is important since a majority toddlers prefer baths than showers. See video below:
After we checked in, we went to the lobby to figure out where to go to dinner. The customer service representative in the lobby gave us a few recommendations and even coupons for free dessert or appetizers. We decided since we were in Texas, we have to go to a steakhouse! The recommendation was awesome and we were very happy with our meal.
The hotel was conveniently located right off the freeway and near a cinema, mall, restaurants, and shopping areas. It was also one exit past Cadillac Ranch which is a popular site seeing spot (see above picture – not the best but was a quick picture while we passed by on the freeway).
After dinner, we headed back to the Extended Stay America suite to go to sleep. The beds were comfy. Sheets and blanket were soft. We had two options of different pillows which I enjoyed. One pillow was a feather pillow and the other was a normal cotton filled pillow. Being 33 weeks pregnant having different pillows was a blessing.
In the morning, we woke up a little later than we wanted but this could be seen as a good thing since we weren’t woken up by others opening and closing their hotel room door or other random noises you normally hear in hotel rooms. We showered, packed up and were ready to head to our next destination, Dallas. On the way out, we enjoyed a speedy checkout and picked up some free breakfast items like muffins, oatmeal, nature valley bars, coffee, and tea.
If you are traveling and looking for a an awesome deal on a hotel check out Extended Stay America which includes free wifi, free grab and go breakfast and more. Extended Stay America offers many promotions like Military and Government rates, AAA discounts, Senior Discounts and more. In addition, they have a rewards program called Extended Perks where when you sign up you will receive 20% off your next stay.
