From Scratch Pizza Recipe

The Easy at Home from Scratch Pizza recipe is a staple in our household and is so easy our kids enjoy participating in preparing our dinner. We cook pizza weekly and have made it a Friday night tradition. Our 6 year old daughter, Avery, has been making pizza since she was 2 years old. Alyvia, our second daughter, has been helping for just a short time and really enjoys the fun of cooking. This pizza recipe is broken down to two parts the pizza crust and pizza recipe.

Pizza Crust Recipe:

Prep time: 15 minutes

Total time: 25 minutes

Ingredients:

1 1/3 cups all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon baking powder

½ teaspoon salt

½ cup milk

2 tablespoons of olive oil

Directions:

Mix flour, baking powder, and salt in a mixing bowl. In a separate bowl, combine milk and olive oil and slowly mix into the flour mixture until a soft dough forms. Remove the dough and knead it for 30 seconds on a lightly floured surface. Roll the dough into a ball, set aside in a bowl and cover for at least 10 minutes.

Pizza Recipe:

Prep time: 10 minutes

Cook time: 40 minutes

Ready in: 50 minutes

Ingredients:

4 tablespoons of marinara or spaghetti sauce
8oz of cheese

Optional toppings:

Pepperoni
Bacon
Artichoke Hearts

Pizza Directions:

Preheat the oven to 400 degrees.

Remove the dough from the bowl and roll it out to your desired size and thickness. Spray the baking pan with non-stick spray before placing the dough on it then spread the marinara or spaghetti sauce onto the pizza dough. Spread the cheese and top with your favorite toppings (I like to keep a little bit of the cheese to put over all the toppings to hold everything together…). Bake in the oven for 20 minutes and enjoy!
