Wizard of Oz Halloween DIY Yard Decorations
If you have been following for awhile, you know we recently moved to a new neighborhood.
This neighborhood is very family oriented. They do lots of fun events especially for the kids. At the end of September, the community board said “Halloween Yard Decorating contest”. I was so excited and started brainstorming what to do. I am not into dark ghost and goblins so I was like what is something fun that would bring smiles to people’s face – I was like Wizard of Oz – who doesn’t love the Wizard of Oz!
It took me about 2 weeks to come up with an idea. Since I already knew I wanted to dress Avery (my daughter) up as Dorothy from Wizard of oz, it just made sense to decorate the yard to accent her outfit. We totally made the yard themed to fit Avery’s costume!
I went on a search to come up with ideas. I have been wanting to play with pallets and see what we could come up with, so here is our pallet DIY Halloween yard!
By the way, Avery absolutely loves the cardboard home. She just wants to play in it all day long.
